2012 - Another year and it's a leap-year so we have one extra day to live, enjoy and be happy here in Red Mountain Ranch.
2011 is past so it's time to look back on what's gone on in RMR. Ohana Management led by Don DeBaca has guided RMR through difficult financial times but was able to come in under budget by working with vendors to get the best costs for services but not lowering our standards. Ohana was able to hold the 2012 Association increases to 1%, even though there were several increases in utilities including Cox, City of Mesa, and SRP. In addition Courtney Womack was hired to upgrade the office services. Country Club Estates working with Ohana, the Board and DLC Resources has a beautiful new entryway. Sky Mountain Estates has refurbished much of its entryway, too, and work will continue on this project in 2012. New playground equipment has been ordered for Red Rock Park and will be installed in early 2012 so the youngsters of RMR will be able to enjoy many hours of play at the park.
Two Board members stepped down - Pam deButler and Shane Wikfors - and two residents took their places through the election process - Paula Mulay and Eileen Nelson-Ferrante. Thank you to Pam and Shane and welcome to Paula and Eileen.
Parcel Committee members met monthly and kept the Board and Ohana up-to-date on the happenings in their neighborhoods, while at the same time, letting their parcel residents know what is happening at Red Mountain Ranch. They also volunteered to put up the Holiday decorations at the Power and Recker entryways, volunteering their time on a Saturday to do so. RMR thanks these ladies and gentlemen who give their time and service to the community.
The New Construction/Modification Committee met numerous times and reviewed several requests from residents concerning changes, additions, landscape issues, etc. RMR thanks these ladies and gentlemen for their time which is for the early 7:30am meeting and service.
Red Mountain Ranch is a great place to live and raise our families. 2012 should be another banner year for all of us and with everyone's involvement in the community it will remain the best place to be in the East Valley.
